A trailer wrap gives you nowhere to hide, so this one had to carry two identities at full scale, Modelo's heritage and the University of Colorado's, without either losing ground. I concepted it around the parts of Modelo that already feel earned, the gold leaf, the lion, the black and gold, then brought the Buffaloes in as an equal instead of a sticker on top. The goal was to make it read as one system, not two logos sharing a truck.
The wrap opens on a textured gold base that transitions into matte black panels, each built around a custom lockup fusing the oversized CU logo with Modelo's mark. I worked entirely from Modelo's established assets, preserving its black and gold leaf aesthetic so the CU identity feels native to the brand rather than bolted on.
A wrap this size fails at the seams, so the artwork was built around the trailer's exact panel breaks and mapped across its compound curves to read as one continuous surface. It debuted at CU's 2025 season opener alongside signage, inflatables, and event graphics, carrying the same visual language across the activation.
